1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Ränseln ("Ränseln", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit ranseln.se (the "Site"), buy from us, or contact us. It applies to customers and visitors in the United States.
Ränseln is operated by Nordris Commerce, a sole proprietorship registered in Sweden, Kalmarleden 38, 746 37 Bålsta, Sweden. Nordris Commerce is the business responsible for your personal information.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, health data or precise geolocation) and we do not use any information to infer characteristics about you beyond shopping interests.
3. How we use your information
- To fulfil orders: process payments, ship products, send order and shipping confirmations, and handle returns, refunds and warranty claims.
- Customer service: answer your questions and resolve issues.
- Marketing: send you emails or offers if you have signed up or where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
- Advertising: show you relevant ads on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, and measure how our ads perform.
- Improving the Site: understand how visitors use the Site and improve products, content and checkout.
- Security and fraud prevention: detect and prevent fraudulent orders and protect our Site and customers.
- Legal compliance: meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations, and enforce our terms.
4. Cookies, pixels and advertising
We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies on the Site. These include the Meta Pixel, the TikTok Pixel, Shopify analytics and, where used, Google Analytics. They help us keep your cart, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and show and measure ads.
Some of these technologies let advertising partners collect information about your activity on the Site and use it to show you ads on other websites and apps ("targeted" or "cross-context behavioral" advertising). Under some US state laws, this can count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. See Section 6 for how to opt out.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings and limit ad personalization through:
- Facebook and Instagram: your Ad Preferences in account settings
- TikTok: Ads settings in the app
- Industry opt-out tools: optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org
Do Not Track: browsers' "Do Not Track" signals have no common standard, so we do not respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as described in Section 6.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers: our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processors (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal and card networks), email and customer-service tools, and hosting providers. They process data on our behalf and only as we instruct.
- Suppliers and shipping partners: we pass your name, shipping address and phone number to our product suppliers and carriers so your order can be produced and delivered.
- Advertising and analytics partners: such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok and Google, through the technologies described in Section 4.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, court order or government request, or to protect our rights, customers or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, personal information may transfer to the new owner under this Policy.
6. Your US state privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you and how we use it
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, order records we must keep for tax purposes)
- Data portability: receive a copy of your information in a usable format
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising
- Non-discrimination: we will not deny you goods, charge different prices or provide a different quality of service because you exercised these rights
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. To opt out of targeted advertising, email info@ranseln.se with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share", or use the cookie or privacy settings link in the Site footer where available. We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid opt-out for that browser.
How to make a request. Email info@ranseln.se. We may need to verify your identity, usually by matching your email address and order details. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that the agent has your permission. We respond within 45 days, and may extend this by another 45 days where permitted, telling you why.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Privacy Appeal". We will respond within the time required by your state's law. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
California residents. In the past 12 months we collected the categories listed in Section 2 for the purposes in Section 3, and disclosed identifiers, commercial information, internet activity and inferences to the recipients in Section 5. Identifiers, internet activity and inferences may have been "shared" with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. California's "Shine the Light" law lets you ask about disclosures to third parties for their own direct marketing; send such requests to the email above.
7. Data retention
We keep order and transaction records for as long as accounting and tax law requires (currently up to 7 years under Swedish bookkeeping rules). Other personal information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes in Section 3, or until you ask us to delete it. Marketing data is deleted when you unsubscribe or after a period of inactivity.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and payment processing through PCI-compliant providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
We are based in Sweden, and our service providers and suppliers may be located in the European Union, the United States, China and other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, where we take steps to keep it protected.
10. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
